Beverley Market Town Only 2 miles away.

The stunning market town of Beverley has beauty in abundance. With an awe-inspiring Minster, historical buildings, cobbled streets, and small town charm, there is something for everyone.

You will find Beverley has an up market shopping experience amongst cobbled streets and charming courtyards and has many high street names including, Barbour, Joules, M&S and Browns Department store. In addition there is an interesting selection of smaller independent shops, an antique arcade and the Saturday market is delightful for a weekend browse.

The town centre is bordered by cosmopolitan pavement cafes, quirky cafes and cosy coffee shops. There is fine dining in many flavours including smoke house and sushi.

With so much to do and see in Beverley and the surrounding area, Barmston Farm is the perfect base for your holiday.

Jorvik Viking Centre – York

Visitors journey through the reconstruction of Viking-Age streets, as they would have been 1000 years ago. The remains of 1,000 year old houses are revealed beneath your feet.

York Maze – A brilliant fun and full day out Opens 15 July 2023 to 4th September 2023

Hornsea Mere - Largest fresh water lake in Yorkshire

Take a boat trip around the mere, (please check if running) have lunch in the café, or just take some bread to feed the many wildfowl (swans, geese & ducks). A really nice afternoon out.

Bempton Cliffs – near Bridlington

A family favorite, and easily the best place in England to see, hear and smell seabirds! More than 200,000 birds (from April to August) make the cliffs seem alive – with adults bringing food to their nests, or young chicks making their first faltering flights.

Explore the caves & rock pools or try finding a fossil.

The Deep Hull – Good for a raining day activity 7 miles

The Deep is one of the most spectacular aquariums in the world and is home to a whopping 3,500 fish including Europe’s only pair of green sawfish, spectacular sharks and rays and a colony of Gentoo penguins

Burnby Hall Gardens

Situated in the market town of Pocklington. The highlight for us is feeding the gigantic fish which is a very unique experience. Lovely gardens to walk around events throughout the year, café, and children’s play area. Skidby Windmill – 6 miles away good half day activity

Four sail working windmill which also houses the museum of east Yorkshire rural life with interactive exhibits and quizzes for the children. There is also a café on site.

North Yorkshire Moors Railways – Pickering Kids go FREE 2023

It’s like taking a step back in time the railway runs between Pickering and Grosmont stopping at Goathland which is the celebrity station home to the bewitching Hogsmeade Station from the first Harry Potter film and as Aidensfield in the beloved ITV programme Heartbeat. East Park & water slide – good half day activity

Visit Hull’s largest park, one of the premier park venues in the north of England. There is something for everyone, you can take a stroll around 130 acres of parkland, brave a ride on the Wicksteed splash boat, visit the animal education center or enjoy afternoon tea in the cafe. Or just let them play in the playground.

Yorkshire wildlife Park – A full day out suitable for all ages approx. 1hrs drive.

Mega Fun – Ideal for raining days or to fill in a couple of hours & tire them out

Driffield Farmers Market – Lovely locally produce food.

1st Saturday of each month at the Driffield show ground approx. 15 miles

Sewerby Hall & Gardens Suitable for all.

Uniquely situated in a dramatic cliff top position with spectacular views over Bridlington. Set in 50 acres   They have a little Zoo with Penguins you can get up close too. And a new children’s play area. Clock tower café. The hall and different gardens to walk around walled, rose and woodland plus 18 hole putting green. Visit Spurn Point Lighthouse

The newly restored spurn lighthouse sits within the wildlife haven of spurn National Nature reserve. Visitors to this iconic landmark can make their way along the 3 1/2 mile peninsula walk or cycle route or climb aboard the spurn safari to travel in style. Open Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Wold Lavender Way

Set within ½ mile from the Wolds Way Walk, surrounded by mature woodland, on the edge of the picturesque Yorkshire Wolds. Wolds Way lavender it is a wonderful and relaxing place to visit. Our family run 12 acre site is currently planted with over five acres of Lavender ranging from rich hues of purple to the purest white. The Deep Hull
Flamborough Lighthouse Guided Tours

Flamborough Lighthouse is located on Flamborough Head and offers breathtaking views over Bridlington Bay and the Heritage Coast. Visitors can climb the 119 steps to the top of the lighthouse to see the magnificent vistas of the surrounding area.
